Don George Lonely Planet Travel Editor...

http://www.lonelyplanet.com/columns/...ller_index.htm

COLUMN #45, 20 February, 2002
"Travel mistakes I have known and loved"

....the first time I visited Rome. At that time, the euro was just a
far-fetched fantasy in some eurocrat's mind and the lire was the
common currency - very common. As I recall, the exchange rate was
something like $1 to 10,000 lire, so on entering Italy you either had
to buy a new suitcase-cum-wallet or just throw away your clothes.

E hai fatto bene!

Gente cosi' dovrebbe cambiare mestiere.

togliere 3 zeri?!

ciao, pikkio
